Preity Zinta born January 31 1975 Preity Zinta is an Indian film actress. Preity Zinta has appeared in Hindi films of Bollywood, as well as Telugu, Punjabi and English language films. After graduating with a degree in criminal psychology Preity Zinta made her acting debut in Dil Se in 1998 followed by a role in Soldier the same year. These performances earned her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and Preity Zinta was later recognised for her role as a teenage single mother in Kya Kehna (2000).

Preity Zinta shot to fame as the refreshing ,cool, wet model in the Liril ad. Preity Zinta also modeled for Perk and her dimpled smile won the hearts of million. Preity Zinta never thought she would be an actress. Kapoor saw Preity Zinta 's in the Liril ad and liked her so much that her instantly decided that the next film he would announce would have Preity Zinta in the lead.

Preity Zinta acted in her first English film Rituparno Ghosh’s as a struggling theatre actress opposite Amitabh Bachchan. The film premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival and was received well. As of April 2008, Preity Zinta has completed shooting for Jahnu Barua’s drama Har Pall, as well as Deepa Mehta’s Canadian movie Heaven on Earth, a Punjabi language drama based on the true story of a non-resident Indian battered wife.
