Aimee Teegarden was born and raised in Downey, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, and lived in a "regular" home with a mother, father, brother, and many pets.
At the age of ten, Aimee Teegarden was contacted by an acting class, and asked her parents to sign her up. They agreed, and enrolled her into a few acting classes. Not long afterwards, Aimee Teegarden’s dream of acting was realized, when Aimee Teegarden got an agent and started going to auditions.
On August 24, 2007, Aimee Teegarden acted as the questioner to Miss Teen USA 2007 pageant contestant Caitlin Upton. On June 19, 2008 in Anaheim, California, she was awarded "Honorary International Sweetheart of DeMolay International" by International Master Councilor, Austin Whitaker.
